Electronic Payments Names Recipients of the 2013 Electronic Payments Academic Scholarship
Calverton, New York – June 24, 2013 – Electronic Payments, a premier provider of payment processing solutions, recently announced the recipients of the company’s annual academic scholarship for Southampton High School students. Each honoree will receive an academic scholarship in recognition of their scholastic performance, extra-curricular participation and community involvement throughout their high school tenure.
The Electronic Payments Scholarship Committee selected Paris Hodges as the primary honoree, awarding her with a $3,500 scholarship. Ms. Hodges will pursue a degree in Business and participate on the women’s basketball team at Brandeis University. Receiving a $1,500 scholarship is Kimberley Corwith, who will study Business and Environmental Science at Nova Southeastern University. The scholarships were presented to the students during the school’s Senior Scholarship and Awards night on June 17, 2013.

There is no doubt that they will thrive in their undergraduate studies and future aspirations.”
Selection criteria include academic accomplishments as well as extra-curricular and community contributions. Eligible candidates must be in their senior year of high school and enrolled in a collegiate undergraduate program for the 2013-2014 academic year. Application evaluations emphasized a letter of recommendation, curriculum vitae, unofficial transcript and an essay describing a time when the students have identified and captured a unique opportunity or leadership role.“Since the commencement of the program in 2011, Electronic Payments has awarded six scholarships to deserving Southampton High School graduates,” Mr. Nardy stated. “It’s a humbling opportunity to assist young individuals with attaining their academic objectives while easing the burden of tuition and student expenses.”
