Electronic Payments (EPI) Enhances Free Terminal Program by Adding Hypercom T7 Plus, ProCharge™ Accounting Plugin and a Free Virtual Terminal

Calverton, NY – August 3, 2007 – Electronic Payments, Inc. (EPI) has been pioneering in its service and product offerings to its ISO and MLS partners. Competition has been strong amid major ISO/Acquirers in the “Free Equipment” market and EPI has enhanced their program by adding several new products to strengthen its popular Free Equipment program.

Effective immediately, EPI has added the 1 MB version of the Hypercom T7 Plus to its Free Equipment Program. The Hypercom T7Plus is designed for merchants requiring a compact countertop POS terminal which accepts all magnetic stripe cards and delivers fast, online transaction authorizations.

“We listened to our ISO partners, many of whom really enjoy working with the Hypercom T7 Plus terminal, and we added it as one of our Free to Sell, Lease or Place units,” said Michael Nardy on a conference call with ISOs.

The terminals now offered by EPI under their Free Equipment program are the Hypercom T7 Plus and the Verifone Nurit 8320.

In addition, EPI has added a free Virtual Terminal with no monthly or ongoing per-item fees that many gateways charge. This truly free online gateway is available for any EPI merchant as a primary method of processing, a backup solution, or as an additional terminal type on their accounts.

EPI also announced today that ProCharge™, a custom software solution designed by Electronic Payments, would also be included in the Free Equipment program. ProCharge™ is the first plugin of its kind (ProCharge® has been designed for QuickBooks® Basic, Pro and Enterprise versions 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007) that has the ability to integrate with a merchant’s preferred accounting software and has no startup, monthly gateway or extra per-transaction fees associated with similar plugins.

“I think we have nearly every merchant angle covered with these latest additions,” Michael Nardy commented. “It’s great that ProCharge™ is part of our Free Equipment program – merchants love it and because there are no extra fees associated with the merchant service or use of the software, it is a very cost-effective processing solution.”

Electronic Payments has updated the EPI ISO Program website available at to outline these new enhancements.
